NAME WORKSHOP

Shape the identity

Start with a tradition and a temperament. Each candidate has four separate name forms. All generation runs in your browser.

Your first introduction
Identity, reputation & story
Sound & spelling constraints
Batch size & repeatable seed

Identical settings and seed reproduce the batch. Restrictive filters can return fewer names; duplicates are never added to fill a batch.

Your candidates

Will readers confuse these names?

A name works in company, not only on its own. Compare the generated candidates with the people, places or objects already in your project. This local check flags shared spellings, three-letter openings and one-letter differences; it does not infer pronunciation or search the internet. Your reference list stays in this tab and is not added to saved names or exports.

Rose Mirror: roots & naming customs

All root meanings and naming customs below are invented creative associations, not translations or claims of historical authenticity.

A beautiful mirror name should not imply that flattering images are truthful.

Three naming approaches for rose mirror

These are reproducible outputs from this workshop, shown before you change any settings. Compare what belongs in everyday speech, a public record, or an older ceremonial identity. Each example lists the exact community, era, temperament, standing and seed that produced it. Try a preset to inspect its other candidates; these examples are fictional constructions rather than historical attestations.

      An everyday introduction

      Keepers in daily use: rose
Wild frontier · Reflective · Established
      Seed: field-notes-1
Core length: Short (up to 6 letters)

      Reflia
      Formal: Rose Mirror of Reflia
      Alias: Dawn Reflection
      Maker / house: Silvford
Reflia uses root contraction: ref + l + ia. Reflect → reflection. Handling names clip a material or action root; collector names pair that root with provenance; archive forms reverse the pair. A practical root and an easily repeated ending suit a traveling community. Adjacent identical boundary letters are merged. The mixed ending is a fictional style, not a statement about the bearer's gender.
      A public record

      Traveling collectors: silver
Civic · Resolute · Office holder
      Seed: field-notes-2
      Core length: Long (7+ letters)

      Rosvor
Formal: Registered Rose Mirror of Rosvesilveor
      Alias: Open Rose
      Maker / house: Rosvian
Rosvesilveor uses linked two-root compound: rosv + e + silve + or. Rosven → rose; Silver → silver. Handling names clip a material or action root; collector names pair that root with provenance; archive forms reverse the pair. A compact root with a register-like ending suits a fictional civic record. Adjacent identical boundary letters are merged. The mixed ending is a fictional style, not a statement about the bearer's gender.
      An older ceremonial identity

      Provenance archivists: reflection
      Mythic · Guarded · Veteran
      Seed: field-notes-3
      Core length: Long (7+ letters)

      Reflsa
Formal: Ancient Rose Mirror of Reflesilvsa
      Alias: Dawn Reflection
      Maker / house: Rosvwright
Reflesilvsa uses reversed two-root ceremonial compound: refle + silv + s + a. Reflect → reflection; Silver → silver. Handling names clip a material or action root; collector names pair that root with provenance; archive forms reverse the pair. Open vowels and extended endings suit a remembered oral tradition. Adjacent identical boundary letters are merged. The mixed ending is a fictional style, not a statement about the bearer's gender.

A beautiful mirror name should not imply that flattering images are truthful.

Everyday speech, formal records and earned aliases have different jobs. Select a naming community to change root order and construction; choose a world texture to change the register ending. A family or lineage remains separate from an optional public alias.

      Rose Mirror · INTERACTIVE SCENARIO

Unasked Name: room for the person behind a kind act

The visit has time for every account admitted by its own invitation condition. Change the assumptions to see where this stops being true.

      Scenario quantities
      Decisions that alter the calculation
Stress tests, sensitivity, and feasible plans
Decisions the feasible-plan search may change

The search keeps other quantities fixed, tests only permitted decisions, and shows the quantity it changes. A feasible plan satisfies this model; it is not an overall judgment about the story.

A transparent fictional planning model. Its factors are editable story assumptions, not measured forecasts or professional advice. The run is also included in the name dossiers above.

The cup of water that outlasts a flattering reflection

Lorafeed · Original fiction and workshop notes · November 2, 2026

      What does the reflection preserve?

The mirror shows the last kind act its viewer received. A proud courtier keeps seeing an ordinary cup of water offered by someone whose name they never asked.

The cup of water makes gratitude specific without supplying a complete moral verdict. Choose unnoticed kindness when the reflection should lead to a conversation. A mirror-name can invite attention rather than rank the worth of its viewer.

A mirror name need not promise beauty or condemnation. Rose can suggest attention that requires care. Limit the reflection to a specific kind of memory so it invites action rather than supplies a complete verdict.

A kindness has a giver the mirror cannot name for you

The courtier recognizes the cup but never asked who offered it. Give the remembered act an ordinary setting so its importance comes from attention rather than spectacle. The mirror's formal name may be beautiful while a household nickname sounds practical. Its rule should reveal a particular received act, not deliver a complete judgment of virtue. A viewer can be moved by a reflection and still misunderstand what to do next.

      Listening comes after looking

The conversation planner separates willing speakers from the time needed for a brief thanks, shared meal, or personal account. A public summoning does not create the same invitation as asking and accepting a chosen meeting. The units are fictional, not a measure of gratitude. Use a waiting count to limit the courtier's project honestly. Seeking every giver at once can become another performance that treats people as material for the owner's improved self-image.

Let the new name be corrected by its subject

An earned learned-name designation can refer to the conversation in the kitchen. The giver might prefer no public tribute, ask for a practical change, or reject a sentimental version of the event. The next reflection should follow the established rule without approving every response the courtier makes. The artifact gains identity through the gap between seeing and understanding, leaving enough work for people that its magic does not simply finish the moral life of whoever happens to own it.
