NAME WORKSHOP

Shape the identity

Start with a tradition and a temperament. Each candidate has four separate name forms. All generation runs in your browser.

Your first introduction
Identity, reputation & story
Sound & spelling constraints
Batch size & repeatable seed

Identical settings and seed reproduce the batch. Restrictive filters can return fewer names; duplicates are never added to fill a batch.

Your candidates

Will readers confuse these names?

A name works in company, not only on its own. Compare the generated candidates with the people, places or objects already in your project. This local check flags shared spellings, three-letter openings and one-letter differences; it does not infer pronunciation or search the internet. Your reference list stays in this tab and is not added to saved names or exports.

Orchard Unicorn: roots & naming customs

All root meanings and naming customs below are invented creative associations, not translations or claims of historical authenticity.

A sweet orchard alias need not imply the unicorn tolerates every visitor.

Three naming approaches for orchard unicorn

These are reproducible outputs from this workshop, shown before you change any settings. Compare what belongs in everyday speech, a public record, or an older ceremonial identity. Each example lists the exact community, era, temperament, standing and seed that produced it. Try a preset to inspect its other candidates; these examples are fictional constructions rather than historical attestations.

Contact names favor a small call unit; observers link behavior and habitat, while field designations reverse their order. Open vowels and extended endings suit a remembered oral tradition. Adjacent identical boundary letters are merged. The mixed ending is a fictional style, not a statement about the bearer's gender.

A sweet orchard alias need not imply the unicorn tolerates every visitor.

Everyday speech, formal records and earned aliases have different jobs. Select a naming community to change root order and construction; choose a world texture to change the register ending. A family or lineage remains separate from an optional public alias.

Unplanted Row: water provision around a hidden source

The unplanted row can remain a protected source through the modeled season. Change the assumptions to see where this stops being true.

      Scenario quantities
      Decisions that alter the calculation
Stress tests, sensitivity, and feasible plans
Decisions the feasible-plan search may change

The search keeps other quantities fixed, tests only permitted decisions, and shows the quantity it changes. A feasible plan satisfies this model; it is not an overall judgment about the story.

A transparent fictional planning model. Its factors are editable story assumptions, not measured forecasts or professional advice. The run is also included in the name dossiers above.

The least productive row feeds the rest of the farm

Lorafeed · Original fiction and workshop notes · November 2, 2026

      What does the creature protect?

A unicorn visits only the least productive row of the orchard. Its keeper realizes the neglected ground contains the spring feeding the entire farm.

Use the unproductive row to question a narrow measure of value. Choose the hidden spring when protection needs a material object. A local orchard-name can make the unicorn's preference more specific than a universal claim of purity.

A unicorn name can express a local relationship rather than universal purity. Orchard details provide seasonal specificity. Let the creature make a choice that the people around it initially misunderstand.

A preference can reveal the wrong measurement

The unicorn returns to a row valued least under a harvest count. Give the keeper observations that distinguish drinking, resting, and guarding before assigning one symbolic purpose. The hidden spring should have material traces someone could notice. A local orchard-name can be warmer and more specific than a universal title about purity. The creature's daily behavior matters because it remains consistent while human explanations change around it.

Expansion can spend the source's continuity

The orchard planner removes tending use and water loss through the interval before the wet season, then checks a reserve. Planting the margin increases demand even if it promises a larger crop. These are fictional provision units, not agricultural guidance. Use the modeled shortfall to explain why leaving a row unplanted is an active choice. The keeper can argue for a limit without needing to prove that every form of cultivation is hostile to the creature.

      Let protection remain a relationship

The farm may credit the unicorn in a local name while recognizing the people who keep the spring accessible. Give the animal a place to go when it chooses not to remain. A later visitor might expect a blessing and receive only an ordinary refusal to approach. That response protects a distinct identity. The creature becomes more than an emblem when the setting respects a behavior that serves a purpose without always being performed for an audience.
